I took the time, blood, sweat, and tears to write about a culture who loved their planet, and respected it so much they figured out ways to replenish her while also using her resources.
I understand this is "just a science fiction romance novel", but doesn't science have a way of following science fiction? So maybe people can find a way to follow fiction...
Seriously, we need our planet, and while I've never been a "tree-hugger", I am a conservationist at heart. My grandfather was a Game Warden up until the very end, and we learned how to live off of the land, and put everything we could back. We learned how to used EVERYTHING, or nothing at all. We respected what God gave us, and did not thumb our nose at anything.
Somehow the same generations that taught us that, and the ones that learned it have either become resigned to the things of today, or simply silent because we are afraid no one will hear our one voice. Well, one can turn into one thousand when fear is faced. We certainly have no fear with the "________ lives matter" campaigns... what about "our planet's life matters"?
The bottom line is, no life will matter if we have no planet to live on, or if our planet has turned against us...hmmm that sounds like a great next book... a planet who turns against its people for not taking care of it. What do you think?
Either way, you should DEFINITELY pick up Legend Mine on July 1st! See how the Reignori have learned to help and love their planet, and try to do the same to ours.
