Now, I could have posted a crazy scary thing which lurks in the deepest parts of the deepest parts of our oceans and seas...something I may do in a future post; but for now, I just want to open your eyes to something new, something quite amazing, and something you would probably love to see in your lifetime. I know I would!
This little guy is just a sampling of hundreds of thousands of species of fish and mammals beneath the surface of our planet's waters. Can you sit back for a minute and imagine? This guy is pretty common off the coast of Mexico, but most of us have never seen one. Yet, there are things out there so majestic and frightening, that I didn't want to post those pictures just yet.
It's creatures like these that give me inspiration for the upcoming release of Treading Water. Just think about it. An entire world inside of our world. Ecosystems beyond ecosystems.
We have quite a bit of the underwater "surfaces" mapped out to about 5k deep. However, if we look at what's truly been "explored", then it's been stated in this article that truly, we only understand about 0.05% of it, which leaves quite a lot of room for future exploration, and current imagination.
Alright, so one kinda creepy picture...I just can't help myself... a real life picture of a Monk fish....
Can you now imagine just what else might be out there?
